Tell us about the challenges being addressed:
Following a consumer complaint, our service had an unannounced visit and some opportunities for improvement were identified. Our workforce needed some immediate support and we did not have the capacity within our own team to meet the immediate needs.

Tell us about the solution put in place:
PA helped us to address immediate gaps we had identified and provided building blocks for the team to continue to embed learning.

We have been able to address vacancies in senior positions in the service and this, coupled with an empowered team, has  provided stability and has allowed ongoing progress with improving process.

Tell us about your experience:
We reached out to PA to see what support was available and were delighted at the availability of the Partner in Care service. We were able to identify focus areas for education, training and staff support.  Together with the PA team, we mapped out a plan and were able to have the PA staff member start at our site in a timely manner.  Two weeks of concentrated education and support enabled our leadership team to concentrate on addressing other governance issues, whilst the team were bought along with education. Our Facility Manager met daily with the PA team member for updates and to adjust the training plan.

The one on one focus worked well for our team and resulted in great engagement.

Would you recommend the Partner in Care Service and our Provider Assist Specialists?
Yes, the support of an external Specialist who knows and understands our service is very much appreciated.

A huge thank you to Julie for sharing your experiences with us, we are very grateful to have you as a part of the Provider Assist community.
